 The students of Fathima Memorial Training College, Mylapore, proudly presented the theme "Knowledge: A Sum of Creativity, Righteousness, and Courage" as part of their Creative Practices session held on September 30, 2024, at the Seminar Hall. This assembly aimed to highlight the essential components that shape true knowledge and its role in molding character and intellect. The poster, designed by students, reflects the essence of education as a balance between creativity, integrity, and bravery. The visual elements such as notebooks, scales of justice, and symbols of creativity emphasize how the journey of learning involves not just intellectual growth but the development of moral and social values. NSS UNIT INAUGURATION

The program begins with a welcome dance, followed by the recitation of Surathul-Fatiha and the NSS prayer song. Dr. Lakshmy Natarajan, Principal of Fathima Memorial Training College, Mylapore, will deliver the welcome address, setting the tone for the event. The presidential address will be given by Sri. Shajahan Younus, Chairman of FMET, and the event will be inaugurated by Dr. Anzer R.N, the State NSS Officer from the Government of Kerala. After the inauguration, there will be a felicitation ceremony where Dr. Hashimudeen A, Academic Advisor of FMET, along with Smt. Anupama M.R and Smt. Anamika B.S, will extend their greetings. The event will conclude with a vote of thanks delivered by Smt. Bincy Sain, NSS Programme Officer.

BEACH CLEANING

 On 21st September 2024, as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva initiative, the NSS unit of Fathima Memorial Training College organized a beach cleaning drive. Volunteers, under the guidance of the college's NSS Programme Officer, Bincy Sain, gathered at the local beach with the aim of restoring its natural beauty. Armed with gloves, bags, and tools, the team focused on clearing plastic waste and other pollutants from the shore. This effort was not just about physical cleaning but also about raising awareness of the importance of keeping our environment clean and reducing plastic waste. The participants worked diligently, separating recyclable materials from non-recyclable ones. The event also served as a reminder of the collective responsibility we all share to maintain cleaner public spaces. Onam Celebration at FMTC Mylapore: A Festive Journey

  FMTC Mylapore celebrated the vibrant festival of Onam on September 11 and 12, 2024, embracing the rich traditions and cultural heritage of Kerala. The celebrations began with the first day's event, Onakkalikal, where students participated in a variety of traditional games and activities that included Kannezhuthy Pottum Thottu, Karangikko, and the popular song Neeyo Njano. Laughter and joy filled the air as participants engaged in Narangathiripp and Chaadi Pidicho, creating a lively atmosphere reminiscent of the authentic Onam spirit. The day concluded with a delightful game of Thotto Thattikko, and the traditional Muttayil Pandheru, which brought everyone together in a spirit of camaraderie and celebration.
