Onam Kit Distribution for Underprivileged Families by FMTC Mylapore and NSS

 In the spirit of compassion and community service, the National Service Scheme (NSS) of FMTC Mylapore organized a meaningful Onam kit distribution event aimed at supporting underprivileged families. Onam, a harvest festival celebrated with great enthusiasm in Kerala, symbolizes prosperity, unity, and the joy of sharing.  The event, held on [insert date], witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, who gathered to prepare and distribute kits filled with essential items. Each kit contained rice, flour, sugar, and traditional Onam snacks, ensuring that families could celebrate the festival with dignity and joy. This initiative not only provided much-needed support to those in need but also fostered a spirit of empathy and teamwork among the participants.

Date: July 14 – July 17, 2025 “Teaching is the one profession that creates all other professions.” The first week of my teaching practice was a journey of discovery, challenges, and small victories. WEEKLY REFLECTION SIXTH WEEK (FIRST PHASE)

The past week of my teaching practice (Days 21–25) was both engaging and rewarding. On Day 21, after the Onam vacation, I taught Articles through the Concept Attainment Model, where students actively discovered rules through examples and non-examples. The following days (22–25) were dedicated to the inspiring chapter The Day My World Changed by Malala Yousafzai, taught using ICT. Each day, I carried the chapter forward step by step, making use of PowerPoint slides, visuals, and activity cards to bring Malala’s story to life. Students were highly motivated, sharing their thoughts on education and courage, which made the lessons more meaningful. I also had varied experiences beyond the classroom, like serving the midday meal, handling substitution hours, and managing double-period sessions.
