BEACH CLEANING

On 21st September 2024, as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva initiative, the NSS unit of Fathima Memorial Training College organized a beach cleaning drive. Volunteers, under the guidance of the college's NSS Programme Officer, Bincy Sain, gathered at the local beach with the aim of restoring its natural beauty. Armed with gloves, bags, and tools, the team focused on clearing plastic waste and other pollutants from the shore.

This effort was not just about physical cleaning but also about raising awareness of the importance of keeping our environment clean and reducing plastic waste. The participants worked diligently, separating recyclable materials from non-recyclable ones. The event also served as a reminder of the collective responsibility we all share to maintain cleaner public spaces.

In line with the Swachhata Hi Seva motto of “Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskaar Swachhata,” the beach cleaning event highlighted how small actions contribute to larger environmental goals. This drive empowered students to take initiative in ensuring sustainable practices in their daily lives. The local community appreciated the initiative, and the beach cleanup marked a significant step towards promoting cleanliness and environmental consciousness.
