WAYANADU LANDSLIDES- CREATIVE PRACTICE

On September 4th, 2024, Fathima Memorial Training College, Mylapore, hosted a Creative Practices session titled "Echoes of Earth: A Tribute to the Land and Its People." This emotionally charged event focused on the tragic Wayanadu landslide, a natural disaster that left a lasting impact on the environment and the local communities.

The session was a heartfelt tribute to the resilience of the people affected by the calamity and a call to reflect on our connection with nature. Through performances, presentations, and discussions, the event emphasized the need for environmental preservation and the importance of standing in solidarity with those affected by disasters.

The visually captivating poster for the event, depicting both the lush greenery of Wayanadu and the devastation caused by the landslide, symbolized the fragile balance between nature and human life. This Creative Practices session was not only a tribute to the victims but also an effort to raise awareness about the importance of responsible stewardship of the earth and supporting communities in the face of adversity.
