  On August 15, 2024, FMTC Mylapore celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with great pride and patriotism. The event took place at the college campus, with Sri Shahjahan Younus, the Chairman of FMET, as the esteemed Chief Guest. The ceremony commenced with the flag hoisting, led by the Chairman, instilling a sense of unity and national pride among all present. The event was formally opened with a heartfelt welcome speech by Dr. Lakshmi Natarajan, Principal of FMTC Mylapore, who highlighted the significance of independence and the responsibility of future educators in shaping a progressive India.   On August 14, 2024, we, a group of students from FMTC Mylapore, participated in a mass blood donation drive organized by the Younus Group of Institutions in association with IMA, the Blood Bank of Kollam, and NSS. The event, held at the Younus College of Engineering & Technology, began at 9:30 AM. With enthusiasm and a sense of purpose, we departed from our college early in the morning, eager to contribute to this noble cause. Upon reaching the venue, the atmosphere was charged with a spirit of community service. Students, faculty members, and other volunteers had gathered to support the initiative, all motivated by the desire to help save lives. The blood donation camp was efficiently organized, with the IMA and Blood Bank staff guiding us through the process of registration, screening, and donation.
