Celebrating the 78th Independence Day at FMTC Mylapore


 

On August 15, 2024, FMTC Mylapore celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with great pride and patriotism. The event took place at the college campus, with Sri Shahjahan Younus, the Chairman of FMET, as the esteemed Chief Guest. The ceremony commenced with the flag hoisting, led by the Chairman, instilling a sense of unity and national pride among all present. The event was formally opened with a heartfelt welcome speech by Dr. Lakshmi Natarajan, Principal of FMTC Mylapore, who highlighted the significance of independence and the responsibility of future educators in shaping a progressive India. The atmosphere was further energized with a series of colorful cultural performances. The day's performances included a spectacular 'Legends' fashion show, where students paid homage to iconic figures from Indian history. The first-year students took center stage with three groups performing patriotic songs, igniting a deep sense of love for the country. Additionally, a lively group dance performance by two first-year groups and one second-year group showcased the unity and diversity of Indian culture. The celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets, leaving everyone with a feeling of joy and camaraderie. 

It was a day to remember, filled with reflection, celebration, and a renewed sense of national pride among the students and staff of FMTC Mylapore.
