WEEKLY REFLECTION SECOND PHASE (SEVENTH WEEK /FINAL WEEK)

“Teaching is not about information, it is about transformation.”

The seventh week of my teaching practice marked the final and most reflective phase of my B.Ed. journey. As this week began, I felt a mix of confidence, responsibility, and emotion, knowing that I was nearing the end of my teaching practice. Each day gave me an opportunity to apply what I had learned throughout the course and engage students in meaningful learning experiences.


Week 7 was a memorable and enriching experience. I could clearly see my growth in classroom management, confidence, and lesson delivery. The activities encouraged student participation and critical thinking. Completing my teaching practice gave me a strong sense of accomplishment and reinforced my desire to grow as a dedicated and student-centered teacher.

Date: July 14 – July 17, 2025 “Teaching is the one profession that creates all other professions.” The first week of my teaching practice was a journey of discovery, challenges, and small victories. As part of the B.Ed. curriculum, I, along with my friends Aleena and Aiswarya from the English Department of Fathima Memorial Training College, Mylapore, began our internship at Government HSS Anchalummood on July 14, 2025. The atmosphere of the school was very welcoming, and the staff were supportive. This week, we actively participated in various duties including substitution classes, classroom management, lunch serving, and even took on the role of judges for an extempore competition. WEEKLY REFLECTION SIXTH WEEK (FIRST PHASE)

The past week of my teaching practice (Days 21–25) was both engaging and rewarding. On Day 21, after the Onam vacation, I taught Articles through the Concept Attainment Model, where students actively discovered rules through examples and non-examples. The following days (22–25) were dedicated to the inspiring chapter The Day My World Changed by Malala Yousafzai, taught using ICT. Each day, I carried the chapter forward step by step, making use of PowerPoint slides, visuals, and activity cards to bring Malala’s story to life. Students were highly motivated, sharing their thoughts on education and courage, which made the lessons more meaningful. I also had varied experiences beyond the classroom, like serving the midday meal, handling substitution hours, and managing double-period sessions. These days taught me the importance of pacing, balancing ICT with interaction, and sustaining student interest. Overall, this phase deepened my confidence as a teacher-in-training.
