International Seminar on AI in Education- DAY 3

Day 3 of the International Seminar on AI in Education: Shaping the Future Teaching, Learning, and Research, organized by Fathima Memorial Training College, Mylapore, Kollam (affiliated to the University of Kerala), was held on 30th July 2025 with impactful sessions and a grand valedictory ceremony.


The day began with a thematic presentation on “AI-Assisted Statistical Data Analysis with EDUSTAT” by Dr. Subin K. S, Director of EDUSTAT Research Centre, Thiruvananthapuram. The session was introduced by Anupama M R and concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Rani Parvathy S.


Following a short tea break, a Paper Presentation Competition was chaired by Dr. Harikrishnan M, Dr. Mariamma Mathew, and Dr. Velayudhan Nair T, with Ms. Asha Rani P introducing the evaluators.


The Valedictory Ceremony featured a welcome by Dr. Mini K. S and the valedictory address along with the Younus Kunju Memorial Excellence Award distribution by Prof. (Dr.) Issac Paul. A seminar resume was presented by Ms. Anamika B. S, followed by a vote of thanks from Dr. M. Omanaseelan, Principal. The event concluded with the National Anthem, marking a fitting end to this global academic gathering.

Date: July 14 – July 17, 2025 “Teaching is the one profession that creates all other professions.” The first week of my teaching practice was a journey of discovery, challenges, and small victories. As part of the B.Ed. curriculum, I, along with my friends Aleena and Aiswarya from the English Department of Fathima Memorial Training College, Mylapore, began our internship at Government HSS Anchalummood on July 14, 2025. The atmosphere of the school was very welcoming, and the staff were supportive. This week, we actively participated in various duties including substitution classes, classroom management, lunch serving, and even took on the role of judges for an extempore competition. One of the highlights of my teaching this week was taking Class 8F for the poem “The Seven Ages of Man” by William Shakespeare. WEEKLY REFLECTION SIXTH WEEK (FIRST PHASE)

The past week of my teaching practice (Days 21–25) was both engaging and rewarding. On Day 21, after the Onam vacation, I taught Articles through the Concept Attainment Model, where students actively discovered rules through examples and non-examples. The following days (22–25) were dedicated to the inspiring chapter The Day My World Changed by Malala Yousafzai, taught using ICT. Each day, I carried the chapter forward step by step, making use of PowerPoint slides, visuals, and activity cards to bring Malala’s story to life. Students were highly motivated, sharing their thoughts on education and courage, which made the lessons more meaningful. I also had varied experiences beyond the classroom, like serving the midday meal, handling substitution hours, and managing double-period sessions. These days taught me the importance of pacing, balancing ICT with interaction, and sustaining student interest. Overall, this phase deepened my confidence as a teacher-in-training.
