Celebrating International Yoga Day at Fathima Memorial Training College

Fathima Memorial Training College, Mylapore, in association with the National Service Scheme (Unit No: KL-07-178), proudly organized the International Yoga Day Celebrations on 20 June 2025 at the Seminar Hall. With the theme “Find your peace, one breath at a time,” the event aimed to highlight the importance of yoga in achieving mental clarity, physical well-being, and inner peace. Participants enthusiastically joined the sessions, embracing yoga as a lifestyle. The serene ambiance, inspirational messages, and collective spirit made the event a truly rejuvenating experience. It was a step toward harmony and holistic health for all.

READING DAY

  As part of Reading Day celebrations on June 19, the NSS Unit (KI-07-178) of Fathima Memorial Training College, Kollam, organized a vibrant literary event at the college seminar hall. The programme, led by Principal Dr. M. Omaniaheelan and Programme Officer Smt. Asha Rani P, aimed to ignite a love for reading and honor the legacy of P.N. Panicker. Events included reading sessions, story narration, book reviews, and poem recitations. Volunteers also donated books to school students as part of a unique reading challenge. Student coordinators Annie Panthali John and Bismi ensured the event was engaging and memorable for all participants.

20th Annual Athletic Meet at FMTC

  The 20th Annual Athletic Meet of Fathima Memorial Training College (FMTC), Mylapore , for the 2024–26 batch was successfully held on June 13, 2025 , at the YCET College of Engineering and Technology Ground, Pallimukku . Organized with great enthusiasm and a strong spirit of sportsmanship, the event marked a significant milestone in the college’s co-curricular activities. The meet was formally inaugurated by Adv. Ansar Younus , Treasurer, FMET, who hoisted the athletic flag and delivered the inaugural address. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of physical fitness, discipline, and perseverance in shaping well-rounded individuals. The Principal, Dr. M. EID MILAN 2025 @ FMTC MYLAPORE

  Fathima Memorial Training College, Mylapore, Kollam, celebrated Eid Milan with great enthusiasm on June 5, 2025 , at the Seminar Hall , in connection with Bali Perunnal (Eid-ul-Adha) , one of the most important festivals in the Islamic tradition. The programme began with an inspiring Eid message by the Principal, Dr. M. Omanaseelan , who highlighted the values of compassion, sacrifice, and unity symbolized by the festival. The event was organized under the guidance of Ms. Anamika B. S., Union Advisor , and was efficiently coordinated by the student leaders Fitha Nassarudeen, Sumayya S., and Muhammed Al Sayed V. Their collective efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the celebration. WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL DAY CELEBRATION BY NSS UNIT

On June 5, 2025 , the NSS Unit (KL-07-178) of Fathima Memorial Training College, Mylapore, Kollam , observed World Environment Day with great enthusiasm, in accordance with the theme “Save Planet, Ditch Plastic.” The programme was organized with the objective of creating environmental awareness and encouraging sustainable practices among students and the wider community. The celebration began with a sapling planting ceremony held at Nakshatra Vanam, Children’s Park, Kollam , which was formally inaugurated by Smt. Honey Benjamin , Honorable Mayor of Kollam Corporation. Students from various institutions, including the NSS volunteers of FMTC, actively participated in the programme, working together to promote the importance of environmental conservation and the protection of nature.
